First red wine from this producer from DOC Torres Vedras denomination. Named after first coin minted in Portugal.

Local Castelão, Cabernet Sauvignon and Portuguese top black grape, the Touriga Nacional.  

Together they form an elegant red with delicious wild blackberry and spices, silky ripe tannins, and a structured body. A red that delivers both depth and drinkability.

Adega de Azueira is a cooperative winery based in the Lisbon region with over 50 years of history, partnering around 400 growers and managing roughly 1,200 hectares of vineyards. It produces over 10 million litres of wine annually combining traditional Portuguese grape varieties with international ones. Atlantic-influenced climate and gently sloped land and shape its characteristic wines.
