A neutral-colored eye pillow with tints of burgundy. Made for you to enjoy a moment of stillness. The relaxing scent of the organic lavender and the light-weight pressure of the flax seeds work together to an overall feeling of relaxation and calmness. A wonderful addition to your meditation/yoga routine, or just for relaxation before bedtime.
The combination of materials created a delightful heavy eye pillow that, when worn, completely blocks the light, allowing your body to relax and relieve stress. Each pillow is carefully handmade in the Netherlands by Alex.
How to use:
Simply place the pillow over your closed eyes or forehead, while lying on your back and relax. If you want to get a more intense lavender scent, squeeze the eye mask firmly a few times. This will release the aroma.
Warm Compress: Place the pillow on top of your central heating for 30 minutes. Ideal before going to sleep or after a restorative yin yoga class.
Cold Compress: Place the pillow in the freezer ( for about 1 hour. Ideal in the morning, or during the day.

Lavender weighted eye pads, also called eye mask
Using an eye pillow, eye mask or face pillow over your eyes creates the ultimate moment of relaxation. Stress or a busy period can cause headaches or tension. Especially then, it is extra important to take a moment for yourself, do some breathing exercises and rest the body. An eye pillow helps you do this and can provide relaxation when you need it.
What is the eye pad made of?
A byAlex eye pillow is a pillow about 25 cm long by 10 cm wide that holds a blend of organic lavender and flax seed in a cotton inner pocket. The inside pocket is again in a beautiful byAlex velour cover (it is washable). At 200 grams, the pillow is heavy enough to lie wonderfully over your face and fill the hollow spaces. In addition, it blocks all light from the environment. Another name for a lavender eye pillow is called a yoga eye mask or a meditation face pillow because it is often used during meditation exercises, yoga nidra or shavasena.
Lavender for aromatherapy
The eye pads are filled with a combination of flaxseed and organic lavender. The lavender provides a wonderful aroma that is soothing, allowing your body to relax extra deeply. If the pillow lies well over your eyes, the lavender scent will naturally reach your nose. If you want a little more fragrance, squeeze the pouch a few times. Then the wonderful aroma is released again. The flaxseed makes the eye pad feel nice and heavy and conforms perfectly to the shape of your face. This makes it completely dark. A pillow that is too light or too narrow does not block all the light, making it harder for you to relax.
The 4 - 7 - 8 breathing for quick relaxation
Focus on your breathing: breathe calmly and deeply through your nose for 4 counts, hold your breath for 7 counts, then slowly exhale through your nose for 8 counts. While breathing, focus on the breath so that your thoughts do not wander. After 4 times you already notice that you are more relaxed.
Relaxation exercise after a busy day: backbend
This easy exercise is a fine combination with the byAlex eye pillow. Grab a meditation cushion, firm pillow or yoga block. Sit on the floor, your bed or on your yoga mat, place the pouf or yoga block at the level of your lower back behind you. Lie back gently so that the lower and middle parts of your back touch the meditation cushion. Then lay your head gently on the ground. If this flexion is too violent, put a pillow under your head. Stay in this position for 3-5 minutes before coming out quietly. Use the elbows and hands to gently rise.
Hot or cold use of the eye pad
You can first put eye pillow on the heater for 10 minutes before laying it on your eyes. This provides wonderful gentle relaxation. Are you more do to cool down, you can also use the pillow cold. Put the face pillow in a plastic bag in the refrigerator. Then place it over your eyes and enjoy a wonderful cooling effect! This also helps with "puffy eyes.
