4 tips for creating a yoga space at home

You don't have to leave your home to get that same feeling of bliss you get at your favorite yoga or meditation studio. Set up a place at home where you can completely unwind, do yoga and meditate undisturbed. But how do you set up such a place so that it really becomes your own safe and quiet place? We give you some tips that will help create your own yoga and meditation space!

Tip 1: Make sure you have the right light

Light can sometimes be quite distracting and during meditation you might prefer to dim the light, while during active yoga you might want a little more light. It is therefore useful to at least make the light adjustable in your space. Hang a nice lamp, put up some lamps or just work with candles. Find out what works best for you and contributes to your relaxation.

Tip 2: Find a nice place

Nothing is better than having a yoga place in your home where you can retreat and do yoga when you want to. You walk to this place and you already feel completely relaxed. Therefore, choose a room in the house that makes you happy as soon as you step over the threshold. Of course, you don't want to be disturbed during your exercises so at least choose a space where you won't get too much noise and where people aren't constantly walking through. In addition, avoid clutter in your yoga room.

Tip 3: Create tranquility with plants and oils

Plants provide oxygen, relaxation, and proper breathing. Do you have the space for some nice big plants? Then decorate your yoga and meditation space with it. With incense or essential oils, such as eucalyptus, you add extra dimension to your yoga space. Essential oils can be very powerful and have a healing effect for your body and mind.
